The science and art of espresso making is one of the most contagious and enjoyable skills to acquire. The tactile nature of extracting coffee and texturing milk makes every cup a challenge. You are only as good as your last cup; therefore focus, coordination, speed and skill make a classy barista a consistent barista.
Toby's Estate Espresso School provides training workshops designed to benefit all levels of experience, whether you are non-industry, new to the industry or a professional barista. Our dedicated school space has 4 x 2group espresso machines with grinders for hands-on practice. Classes are limited to groups of 6-8 people to allow for hands-on practice and one-on-one attention.

Corporate and group bookings are welcome for all sessions. If you have a group that would benefit from participating in an interactive, hands-on espresso experience, then any of our sessions would be ideal. We can also custom design a session to suit your requirements.

The training we offer will prepare the passionate enthusiast for a place in the fabulous world of espresso coffee.

Rich and Tom, definately live up to your reputations as Sydney's best trainers. The courses were great, real life training, what I learnt was really relevant to the cafe environment, finally, trainers that teach real skills for the professional barista.

I have been making coffee for 10 years, and am amazed at how much more I learnt during these courses. I attended the level 1 and 2 courses, and was amazed at the skills I picked up. Welcome to the cutting edge of coffee making! Thanks Rich! Awesome training session!

I did level 1 & 2 with Richard yesterday and cannot believe what a great day I had. The time just flew by and we had so much time on the espresso machine that I felt really comfortable making espresso by the end of the class. I will be back to do the rest of the training before we open our Cafe in 3 weeks and all of our staff will be coming back for training very soon. Big Thanks to all of you at Tobys! Cheers, Jennifer

Fantastic training session, informative and fun. Great trainers helped me to learn the skills I needed to get a great job as a barista. Would reccomend this course to anyone, they well and truely lived up to their reputation as the best coffee school in Sydney! Thanks guys!!
